[sdiy] DIY Motorised Stage Lighting

Dear All,

	Totally off beam - but.......

	Has anyone had a go at their own motorised stage lighting - by this
	I mean moving light beams with mirrors or moving the complete light
	(pan and tilt)

	I thought slide projector optics - with servo or stepper motors for
	pan and tilt. What about gobos and filters ? Anyone fabricated these ?

	Have read up on DMX512 and there are one or two websites for
	DIY controllers for these but what about the equivalent for optics ?

	Incidentally there are some nice applications of 'colour-wash' systems
	out there using high-intensity LEDs

	Is there a 'Stagelight DIY' community - anyone want to start one ?
