In that aspect, diy is a bonus! Its another way of obtaining a useful peice

equipment. So useful infact that its built to the operator's specifications!

Another point I don't think anybody's brought up is that the demand for 
actual machines from EMS may be from quite a different group of people from 
those who would build clones. Not everybody who likes analog has the 
construction or design chops to actually build it themselves, in fact it 
would probably be fair to say that most don't.

Oh, and DAMN that's a nice panel..
