[sdiy] (OT) Computer clock losing time...

Hey there, I have an AMD-350 with lots of ram but lately my clock is
losing time... badly.

monday I noticed it was about 10 minutes behind, so I reset it, and
wednesday night it was 17 minutes behind.  right now I have it
querying the atomic clock and updating it, and it shows an error
ammount.

I'm wondering what would be the cause of this?  My first thought is
the battery, but my computer has been on constantly through the
monday-wednesday period.  It is usually on as I run an ftp server.  

any thoughts?
