They have been quite adventurous back then. Remember the electrostatic
diy speaker ? Or the parabolic antenna for sat TV ? Built around a frame
of carefully bent metal pieces ("It's important to get a parabolic shape
exactly") ! Or the *modular* guitar amp (with different tube based modules)
...
