is a plate reverb what is pictured on the cover of Squarepusher's
"Music Is Rotted One Note"?

the picture depicts a steel shelf (like a shelf from one of those
"some assembly required" workshop shelves) suspended with a small
speaker taped to it near the top, and a microphone pointed up at the
bottom ridge from directly beneath and another microphone closer to
the speaker, on the opposite side from the speaker.

if so.. you could make one like that.. good for studio use only I
suppose.
