[sdiy] TR-707 Help

Hi all.. This is an easy one..

if anybody has a TR-707 (or similar) and has opened it up, could you
tell me if the connectors CN2 and CN3 are really connectors are just
fancy solder points.

They connect the pair of ribbon cables from the Voicing board to the
Volume Board.  I'm modifying my 707 and it would be easier if the
volume board and the voicing board weren't getting in the way of each
other, but I'd rather not desolder the cables.  

They look like connectors, they are labeled as connectors, but when I
open the connector slide part, the cable stays firmly in place. (and I
mean firmly)
