I've now almost completed my home "lab".  Siggh, a whole room dedicated
to soldering, drilling, drawing etc etc.

A seperate table for soldering.  A seperate table for computer stuff
and as writing desk.  A garage to keep the "possibly usefull surplus
parts" in.  A shelf to keep all the tools and other parts.

In short: heaven. (I lived in hell last year...)

So now for the first time I have to opportunity to start something,
interupt, and get on on the next day without any organizational  effort,
just switch the iron off and heat it the next day.

Here a few things that you might find usefull:

I found I needed a lab (scope) trolley. Heck, these thing can be
expensive. I ended up with a IKEA device, ah, can't just remember these
swedish names...  Alu legs, rolls, three steel plates, stable. Less then
45 EUR.

And I found I needed a workbench where a full grown male can work without
backbone problems. I'm 188 cm tall. So I got this "Ingo" table today
for 40 EUR, and four extra legs.  As well as three table lamps for 4 EUR
each. I will drill a few holes to extend the original legs from 70 cm to
100 cm or more. This way the "cheap chinese drill stand" will have the
excact high I need for normal position, standing.  If I feel this is to
high, well I can put in the screw in another hole, say, every 5 cm or so.
I will also install a fixed bench vise (vise) permanently into "Ingo".


The only thing I don't have is a circular saw. Now, there are very small
ones for fine metal work. But the cutting depth is very limited,
as well as motor power. There are also the very large ones.
And there are medium sized saws wich can be mouted on top of a table.
I think this will be good. Do these things have blades for metal (Fe,Al?).
Any experiences?

p.s.: this heavenly state will have an end when this "girlfriend & baby stuff"
is comming up, but then sdiy will be on halt anyway I guess...
