[sdiy] New batches of vintage Roland parts?

Hi,

I was talking to another Roland Juno-106 user, who had all of of his filter
chips replaced in his machine. Now the suprising thing to me was, that the
repair guy told him the chips were from a new batch Roland made at the end
of last year. Could anyone confirm this story and possibly tell if Roland
started to rebuild more than only the filter chip of the Juno-106?
