yep, midi daughter board, midi wasn't inveted at the time of the PPGs
release,
Wolfgang Palm (creator of PPG) added it later...

Is it?
Which IC socket?
Do you mean the pin that goes FROM the daughter board into the socket on the
main CPU (or IO) board?

Ok, this sounds like the reason your PPG isnt behaving correctly..
Can you let me know EXACTLY which wire has come adrift, and where the
missing pin is?

It sounds like your PPG was transported badly and bits came loose at some
point, someone couldn't
be bothered to repair it properly so they just put it back in its socket and
hoped..

I also have the service guide and many other usefull things.. (I also own a
2.2)
I have also fixed several of them and have helped others fix their own PPG
gear.

Let me know the details of the wires and if possible take some pictures with
a digital camera and email them to me.
And I should be able to help you.
