[sdiy] Simple slew problem...

Hi all....

I have a sequencer that I made and everything works except the
switchable slew. The circuit I used is the one from the Barry Klein book
where there is no buffer before th pot (maybe the problem;). I added a
FET in parallel with the pot and a comparator to switch the FET on and
off to turn on the slide.

when the slide is on the voltage rises as I trun up the pot. What in the
hell is happening here? Is there a solution that won't involve adding
another opamp? (I have a finished, etched board)

please guide me....
