Hi Folks,

I am working on a hardware light/sound-sequencer which has to be
programmable over the internet. People should be able to program their
patterns on their own desktop-pc and upload them to the main sequencer.
Any ideas how to do this? I am thinking of a combination of flash/shockwave
and max but I don't know how to make the client-server-sequencer
connection.
Basically the first thing I am looking for is info on how to control
external machines/hardware from a computer/server. Of course midi springs
to mind. But how do you control midi over a server connection from a remote
distance?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Corneel.
