[sdiy] Heat Paste/Compound

I'm looking at mouser and at rs for heat transfer paste

mouser only has two kinds:
Transistor Silicone Grease "2 oz tube" $7.16
and
Silicone Free Heat Sink Compound "4 oz. tube" $17.42

RS has:
Heat Sink Compound "4 oz tube" $15.99
and
Heat Sink Grease "6.5 Grams" $1.99

Is the heat sink grease just regular Silicone Grease?  I have a huge
tub of that here.  and if it's not.. is it just formulated for
improved heat flow or what?  and... what would people recommend... I'm
pasting a tempco to a tranny-pair...
