[sdiy] TB-303 rez dual pot? Needed?

Just wondering if the one pot that goes between the rez pot connects to r46
is really needed?

I *have* been told that this section of the 303 rez pot can be omitted and
it doesn't add up to a lot of difference in the sound, except that the r46
needs to be jumpered to r72 to get the accent to hit the filter rez.. Any
ideas? I have a guy who has a dead rez pot and my rez-urrection of the pot
was stunted by the fact that the wipers were seperated from the knob body
and has caused *complications*.
