If there aren't any simple tweaks for improving temperature stability, how
about auto calibration?
The oscillators are relatively stable after calibration but calibration
takes so long and is so tedious.
I have noticed Maxim manufacture temperature measuring chips. Couple these
with some digital pots (Analogue devices are touting 1024 point resolution
devices) and some form of mapping function possibly programmable device or a
PIC?
Could this possibly offer Klaus Schulz's desired tonality through
temperature drift and also have the luxury of auto calibration or at the
touch of a calibration button?
I haven't thought it through in any detail.
