[sdiy] pressure sensitive ribbon controller

Hi,

does anyone on this list have knowledge or experience with
force/location/pressure sensitive resistors? I am attempting to design a
midi ribbon controller, similar to the Kurzweil Expressionmate, or the Korg
Kaoss pad, which senses in 3 axis one of which being pressure. I looked into
the tactex fabric, but it's response is too slow, would need to put force
sensing resistors underneath it to trigger note on messages.

Any info would be much appreciated.
