[sdiy] separate waveform outputs ?

Hello Kenneth:

Welcome to Synth DIY Engineering !!!

You decide. Preset signal paths are quick to patch... VERY important
for a live performance instrument. Sounds are more limited... but maybe
that
is not all bad. Or go full modular and you can do all the tricks that you
mentioned
and more. Are they worth the effort / expense ?

Why not do both. Provide separate output jacks, but also have switches that

mix into a single "quick" output. Or maybe have separate volume pots ?

I built a module that used four thumbwheel switches... Ten possible
waveforms
in. Each thumbwheel switch had its own volume pot. These were mixed in
twos...
so think A,B and C,D. There was a separate output for each mix. So
this was
two, two input mixers. Then there was a crossfade pot that allowed you to
select the
mix of each submixer... effectively making it a four channel mixer.

Maybe start with a triangle and pulse wave and crossdade to suboctaves ???
It worked really well back in the days of Modulars on stage...
