You >absolutely< want separate outs! There are a multitude of things you
can do with multiple waveforms, rather than just mixing - though this is
certainly an option. For example, you could run a square wave to one or
more dividers for suboctaves, while using the sawtooth as well; use
separate filters on two different waveforms, and then mix, crossfade, or
ringmodulate them. Etc.
