One cheap way to make useful small conductors is to buy some eight
channel balanced cable by Van Damme which is intended to connect mixer
bus outputs to tape recorders (or ADATs etc. Just strip off the outer
blue plastic and you get eight individual 'number-coded' cables. The
stuff I use has twin cores and a single lapped screen. Works very well,
low microphony and very thin and flexible.
On a related note, do the words 'EDAC' and '16 way balanced cable' make
anyone else go all goo goo and start blathering about visting long lost
friends in Tasmania?
