Your description sounds kinda like Mogami or Gepco mic/studio cable.
(Flexible, good shield)
Marshall Electronics is the importer for Mogami, and there are parts of the
catalog online at:
http://www.mars-cam.com/cable/mogami.html
I've used Mogami for some installation work, and it was very well-behaved
cable. Easy to strip just the insulation, and it's _incredibly_ flexible.
Full Compass and Markertek also carry some of these sorts of cable (Gepco,
Canare, etc.). Both have decent online catalogs: www.fullcompass.com and
www.markertek.com.
These might get you a little nearer what you're looking for.
