[sdiy] Resistive Strip Construction Article?

Good afternoon, everyone,
    I seem to remember a couple of years ago coming across a great
contruction sequence on the internet on how to make a resistive touch strip
(ribbon controller) using VHS video tape and other elements. Does anyone
know the location of this articlea nd has anyone tinkered with it? I've
found a use for such a DIY beast in turning my world famous theremins into
the bastard theremin that Mike Love plays in that Good Vibrations video and
I can't imagine where else I could find a 3+ foot long touch strip other
than making my own. Thanks a million.
