[sdiy] Health Hazard from Solder Fumes

I have also heard rumours about that, and that most parts of the electronics
iondustry is not very happy with it, as the alternative soldering processes
are all more expensive and difficult to handle.

Does anybody know when the "Lead ban" will be effective ? I would like to
stock up with enough old lead-based solder so i am on the safe side until
the alternatives are working fine...
