Well, from your question, I am not exactly sure how to answer....And
I suspect, you are going to have quite a learning curve to come up, but
that is what we are here for. :-)
There are many ways to kill a bird here. The first thing you will
have to do is get yourself a schematic capture/PCB program. There are
many out there. Prices range from free to $100,000 ,we prefer the free
ones, and there are lots of cheap packages that are also within reach.
You are going to have to do a lot of research on this. As you will find
out, you will get as many opinions as there are members to list, most
likely.
In my opinion, the very best package to look for to do PCB's is
EasyTrax. This used to be availiable on the internet for free from the
protel website ( http://www.protel.com ). I am not sure if it is still
there, or where to find it exactly if it still is. This PCB program is
very easy to use, about as bug free as you can get, but, it does run
under DOS. I do not know what it would do under Windows9x, or Win2000,
etc.
As far as actually laying out PC boards....well, this is more of an
art than a science. It is something you will become better at the more
you do it.
Anyway, these are just my opinions..others may differ.
