[sdiy] Front Panels

I thought of getting plexi-glass and printing the front panel design on
contact paper on a laser printer and then back-lighting it with LEDs.
But I am not sure if the LEDs will show through the printer toner.

Any thoughts?

I might try it in the coming weeks.

  Has anyone ever looked into doing a front panel made or perspex?
or Translucent Perspex? and backlighting it?

  Other than the fact that it would need to quite thick (I can recess pot
nuts)
is there any other problems?
