Speaking as the one who sparked the presidential theme, I agree. 

I was merely suggesting creating a series of commemorative chips silk
screened or engraved with images. The same thing could be done with a
collection of Norman Rockwell paintings, a collection of Pokemon
characters, or images of teen idols such as NSync or Brittany Spears.

I didn't expect the presidential theme to turn sour. I apologize for not
also suggesting a theme that appealed to non-US citizens. I just don't know
what would be collectible in other countries.
