[sdiy] Has anyone used Mackie Pots for a project?

Do you guys have the OLD 1202 or the new VLZ models.
My 1202 is quiet as a mouse and has never had a pot
problem... and its "long in the tooth" now. So maybe
they changed parts over time ?
