Try fixing a circuit with a chip with no datasheets, no idea of what it can do....
It's bad enough with some commercial circuits, you certainly don't want to linearly enhance the chance of total failure
regarding to the number of custom chips.
Much a better idea to stick to discrete and available parts.
Matching would probably be worse because you need very good engineering skills to do that on a dye.
