[sdiy] synth chip

I'm sure this has been asked before, but are there any other 
synth-on-a-chip type chips around?  I know there's the SID6581, the 
TI76477, and apparently some Curtis chips, but these are all long 
gone aside from surplus and salvage.

Aren't there any chips currently in production that have waveform 
generators, noise generators, filters, etc all on the chip?  I really 
want to build a super tiny synth with lots of sounds.  More 
impressive that way, I guess.
