no no NO !!!

The LM324 is a terrible op-amp to use on a split supply.
Please don't.  It will have very bad performance around
"0" volts... very bad crossover distortion. You'll probably
be sorry.

OTOH you can lay the board out, play with the LM324 and then
switch to some better opamp, maybe the TL084

The LM324 is designed for a single supply... the data sheet
"shows" some split supply apps... but its the wrong part for that job

H^) harry (back to work... on an LM324 circuit by strange co-incidence...
