There was a discussion on the list about how Keith Emerson did the intro to
"Hootenanny", and it was decided he had a glide/portamento with different
rise and fall time constants. In thinking about how to do it, I knew that
diodes would enable paths through different pots to have independently
adjustable time constants on the rise and fall. Then it was just a matter of
compensating for the diode drop by putting the whole thing in the feedback
loop of another opamp.
