AFAIC, anything by C.L. Strong is about as "on" an off-topic as you could
possibly bring up on this forum. Building a supersonic wind tunnel with a
false color Schlieren apparatus was about as exciting to a teenager as
having an analog modular synth. Different, but exciting.

Ironically, my friend in the used book trade tells me that some collectable
book prices have actually dropped due to their ready availability online.
But we're talking about C.L. Strong here. I remember seeing it in stores
when it came out and didn't have the money...

For those of you who don't have a clue what we're talking about let's just
say that C.L. Strong's Amateur Scientist column is up there with
Electronotes, IMHO.
