emotionally, I'd say you need some detachment from it.
Relax about it. It's just a hobby. A serious on though, involving building
your own means to express yourself.

Technically, I have the feeling you lack a masterplan.
A basic idea of what you need, how you want it to function.
>From their you can set your own goals (including keeping it simple).

And you can set boundaries like control voltage range,
audio level range, expandability or one system in one box,
knobs built in, or a seperate interface, keyboard or not...

But the masterplan comes first, then the modules.
And in your case I'd build the modules in such an order
that you can have something running each month or so.
An add on system...

That's allready something isn't it?
I do miss the oscillators. That's where it starts, isn't it?
