It's possible, but I don't recommend it. I've seen the schematics for
an SSL desk and it's a nightmare. They use 10,000 unique parts and many
are hard to source.
Neve's (or any old class A desk) might be a bit easier since it's
mostly discrete transistor circuitry. But I haven't seen many Neve
circuits on the web. There are a few, but not enough to make an entire
desk out of.
My advice, go to Soundcraft's website and download their Series 30
technical manual. It contains the _complete_ schematics for a large
format console, including PCB layouts, parts lists, frame dimentions,
everything! But be warned, it is HUGE. Took me 3 days to print it all
out!
That might help, or dissuade you from making your own!
Cheers,
Tony
