Thank you and JH for the informative answers to my questions. This list
never ceases to amaze me. It certainly appears that the collectable value
of the Ace Tone Top-5 organ might be significant (not necessarily in money).
I noticed as you pointed out that there is not even one photo at the synth
museum site. Therefore, you can rest assured that I will take a series of
nice photos of before and after as the restoration project progresses
(slowly, I am sure). I have contacted the museum to see if they are
interested in the organ or at least some photos. I will post the photos at
my website and drop a note with link here to the list for any that might be
interested.
Then onto the Mini-Korg. Other than K-2, I can find no model number on the
name plate. But, it does have a large switch to the left of the keyboard
with about 6 positions for "duet" modulator1, 2, 3, and a couple of noise
positions. So, has the larger feature set which must make it the 700S per
JH's explanation. I thought the power switch had been replaced on first
appearance. But now, looking at the web photos (somewhat fuzzy), it appears
that this black bat toggle switch may the original switch. If so, this one
is complete with the original knob and switch set.

hey larry
re: the ace tone - my friend has one of these (i think it is the same...) it
was made by Ikutaro Kakehashi of roland fame... ace tone was a brand
name he used in the early years. they also made the famous "Rhythm
Ace" drum machines. check these sites for more info:
