I'm not sure of what you mean by that, but as far as I understand,I forgot
to mention that if I finally decide to replace the diode matrix with a computer
screen, I would extend the user interface to other functions, such as the
possibility to re-patch the output of analyzer filters bank to the input of any
synth filter bank...

And to answer Rick's remark, indeed a complete LED display with bar graphs
is pretty expensive. But there's also the possibility to use smaller LEDs (the
ref # slips my mind right now), like those LEDs made to display numbers &
chars, made of an 8 x 8 matrix. You can stack several of them close to each
other and use each column of diodes as a bargraph... Hope my description isn't
too cryptic ! That gives you a less spectacular display, but a much cheaper one.

Nevertheless, I have design a different circuit & PCB for each option.
