[sdiy] Capacitor Color Codes...correction

Checking back on previous emails, the capacitors in question aren't 
"gumdrops" (god knows where i pulled that name from), but rather 
Mullard C280's, these are the multi-colored striped caps, so any info 
regarding suitable replacement for these caps, as well as reading the 
values of these color codes, would be appreciated.

Just on a side note, apart from 2 of these capasitors which are 
obviously busted, there are many others which seems to have "surface 
cracks". I'm not sure whether this is just the "paint" coat, or 
whether this is a sign that the caps lifespan is coming to an end, is 
this common with these Mullard C280's? Would it seem a wise idea to 
replace all these caps with any sign of cracking with fresh 
replacements of some kind?
