[sdiy] Anyone built the ELEKTOR VOCODER?

Still on the vocoder topic, I haven't yet decided which design I'll choose
for the VCA stage. Actually, I have the choice between three designs :

- based on OTA CA3080 (like in the Elektor vocoder)

- based around LM13700 (like in the ETI vocoder) : better S/N AFAIK

- based around those CEM chips (PA 381/382 dual low noise VCA)
for sale at synththech.com. Telling the truth, this option is very tempting
because of :
    - the low cost
    - the >100dB S/N ratio
    - the HUGE savings on PCB room...

Any advice, dear [sdiy] gurus ?

JB
