:::I'll try it out at work... Here at home I'm still using a P166 :)

So what? I have a 100MHz Pentium and it runs smooth.
if you overload it will show artefacts, but won't crash.
CTRL-Y and you're back to life again. Any CPU can be
smashed by to many overlapping grains.

Hey, THAT'S software engineering!

I forgot the offline mode:

HD-record a prepared granular process that you can't do in real time.
In fact, I always do HD-recording (combined with realtime),
so this saves me recording with my crappy sound card.

I don't want to brag here, but one piece of my experimental
music used just a few words of Herbert Eimert (in the next will
do Meyer-Eppler and Duddley, for sure ;->), thrown into granny,
direct to disk and a little postprocessing, cutting afterwards.
The things you can hear in this piece a really amazing, I consider
this to be one of my best inventions...
