Just some hardware in the PSU that takes some days to melt short or open
will do the trick. Perhaps underdimensioned resistor....
I have seen chemical devices, you know, in ancient times charge
was measured in grams of deposed silver.
There are chemical "wear out" indicators which change colour over
time. Perhaps something corosive could make a circuit open.
All this requires that the "reviewer" is totally dumb, no tech,
no clue. Often they are, just read the shit they write in their
reviews....
