Both! you wire them in series/parallel.
wire 4 speakers in series... that's 32 ohms...
repeat... now you have 5 series strings of 32 ohms each...
now wire those in parallel... if it were 4 strings, you would have
8 ohms. Since there are 5 - 32 ohm loads in parallel... you now have
less than 8 ohms... probably about 6 (I have not done the exact
math... BUT guaranteed it will be more than 4 ohms. If you have a
typical solid atate amp... you will have no problem driving that load.
Even with a tube amp (using a transformer) I'd use the 8 ohm output
and not worry about the slightly lower impedance !!!

some math whiz WILL probably post the exact figures anyway. You can get
other impedances as well... just keep all rows and columns symmetrical for
even power distribution.
