[sdiy] CV dispatcher : analog or digital ?

Dear [sdiy] list,
Here's a problem I've had in mind for a while.
The project could be called "CV dispatcher" and follows
the rules described in the following schemo :
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/jbv.silences/DIY/CV.jpg
In brief : there's 1 CV input and several CV outputs.
A "peak" of 0v to 1v (and back to 0v) appears on one of
the outputs according to the interval (1 to 2v, 2 to 3v, etc.)
of the CV input.
I can do that with a simple ADC -> uC -> DAC -> S&H.
But I was wondering how this could be done the analog way...
Lots of op-amps I guess...
Which version would be the easiest (in terms of design,
number of components, cost, PCB room...) ?
Thanks.
