I heard a band play called Granular Synthesis once - if it has anything to do this the principal of making sounds it involves a German due who talked like the hair dresser from 'Farther of the Bride' and 25K watts of Subbass frequencies that made your kidneys wobble for the best part of an hour - it was very painful!
