I think any email software today adds a "Re:" to a subject line of a
reply only when the subject line doesn't already begin with "Re:". But
it will ignore "Re:" if it appears somewhere inside the subject line
(for instance after the [sdiy] tag). On the other hand, the majordomo
doesn't seem to add a tag if there's already one anywhere in the subject
line. At least I haven't seen a subject line with more than one [sdiy]
tag in it yet.

So I think the duplicate "Re:" in a subject line (one at the beginning
and the other after the tag) only occurs when a thread was started
*before* majordomo added the tags and continued then. We won't see such
subject lines any longer soon.
