First, I never said replying policy is fine the way it is. I've just grown
weary of pleading my case for a change, and I've decided to live with the
status quo. (You're still welcome to make the changes I suggested, but I
won't be wasting my breath asking for them. Nor will I hold my breath
waiting for them.)
Second, I never said it doesn't bother me to have to cut and paste each and
every reply I make to this list. My attitude is that I will simply live
with the minor annoyance, but make no mistake about the matter, it *is* an
annoyance.
Third, you took a comment that I personally made, and have responded to it
as if it were some "official" comment on behalf of all those who want to
change the "Reply-to:" feature. I don't chair some sort of committee, and I
speak only for myself. Yet, in response to my earlier message, you start
your reply with the word "Guys". This is only appropriate if I had just
spoken on behalf of a group, which I didn't.
Fourth, my latter comments were concerning the "[sdiy]" tag in particular.
It was only recently added, and I think it does more harm than good. Since
we got along just fine without it, I'd like to see us go back to not using
this tag.
You asked for consistency, and I am being consistent. The only
inconsistency was on your part. Your perception of my beliefs was
inconsistent with the true nature of my beliefs. :)
Now please, if someone else wants to plead for changing the "Reply-To:"
function, that's their business. I just don't want to talk about it
anymore, so don't bother replying to this message if you only want to argue
about that issue.
As for the [sdiy] tag, that's another issue. I would still like to see that
dropped. :)
Later,
Glen
P.S. I'm Looking forward to getting back to Synth discussions and leaving
policy discussions far behind, especially if those discussions aren't
branded with a [sdiy] tag. :)
