:::I agree. Although I have only been with the list for a few weeks, I can
already
:::see the tremendous value in the knowledge of the participants. It would be
great
:::to get this in digest form, as I have found the amount of mail also a time
:::burden.

I guess a *real* digest would mean to filter out personal arguments
(we rarely have any), *real dumb* questions, sale adds, recycling of
old topics, new years greetings, etc. etc. That would be usefull. I
estimate the total mail traffic from 95 to today as 30000 e-mails.
(I once tryed to set up an inofficial archive). If a person needs 5
seconds to decide if a mail has to be in- or excluded from the *real*
digest, this means 42 hours of work. You can do this for about 15 min daily,
this means 166 days of work.

MMhh, sounds not too bad.

For my own purposes I'm currently considering to update my unoffical
archive. Perhaps...
