Hi all,
I have couple of ICL8038s lying around which I would like to use. I have a
schematic for 8038 VCO but it also uses ICL8049 antilog amplifier for CV,
which is no longer available. Are there any other schematics for 8038 VCO? I
couldn't find anything on the net. Unfortunately the list archives seem to
be down at the moment.
Probably I will use them as LFOs. I have the data sheet for the IC. Is there
anything special I should know than to use large enough timing capacitor and
output buffer op-amps? Can the timing capacitor be made by connecting two
electrolytes in series? I don't wan't to invest too much money on this by
buying large ordinary caps.
Btw. the list should really be available in digest format. I have just
signed and the lack of digest mode was quite annoying. I have to monitor my
e-mail constantly and now I get about 20 false alarms per day.
