:::If you give the pcb design to a shop they can do solder stop

:::I think today DIY of pcbs is not such a good idea.

I forgot to say: this solder stop seems to protect the board
against contamination as well as corrosion.
The pieces a copper that are not covered are not really tinned,
it appears to be silver, very shiny. Very good to solder,
no danger of solder bridges due to solder stop mask.

There are chemical solutions for silver and gold,
but I don't know how thick , robust they really are.

Etching a good PCB with all bells and whistles is not so easy,
if you do it every now and then (like most of us) it is really
cheaper to give it to a shop.
