All electrically powerered units need to have CE marking. Unless it is
sold as kit to be constructed by the end user. The rules on this are
quite complex. EMC is only one part of it, although the most difficult
to pass because of the money asked by testing houses. Lincoln you are in
the UK, so your local Business Link office will/should be able to
forward all the relevant material to you free of charge.
