Only if you use the parts of that era: big (mostly directly heated) triodes.

Hey, mine isn't either. I mean from the looks ;-) All those subminiature
tubes will be hidden behind a front panel, just one tube will be visible:
the magic eye.
But I opt for "chickenhead" retro knobs.
