scopes [was: how to troubleshoot? ...]

I have a scope with a Z input... It controls the beam
brightness.  I made a 16 character wide by 16 line display 
(like a small terminal) using a 6800 microprocessor and 
my Eico 460 (and a little outboard circuitry.  The Z input 
is really for special display stuff like I described, not 
really useful for testing in most cases.
