ICL 8038 (Anyone used them?)

I would agree with this. I tried using the 8038 and the Exar 2206 VCO
chips back in high school for audio VCO applications - they don't track
well enough, and at best I could use them as an LFO or test bench
oscillator. For VCO's in audio apps, I'd use something like an SSM or
Curtis series IC - but we all know how hard these are to find
nowadays. ;-)
